February
Tues 15th February - Basic Editing Techniques Part 2 – Planning and Executing Editing – Simple Sequences (featuring footage from a recent Milton Keynes charity event). Free tea/coffee. Presenter Brian Wright
March
Tues 15th March - “Mobile Movies” – A session presented by Simon Harvey on using mobile devices to take and make movies. Free tea/coffee.
April
Tues 19th April - Basic Chromakey Techniques and lighting - Hands-on setup of Green Screen (and other colours too) and lighting equipment. Presenter Philip Bridge. Free tea/coffee.
May
Tues 17th May – Basic camera skills and techniques. Update on video projects. Group workshop session. Free tea/coffee.
June
Tues 28th June – #RESCHEDULE – NOTE NEW DATE# The club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) including chair and treasurers reports, followed by project problem solvings discussions. Free tea/coffee.
July
Tues 19th July - Time to take a look at a few top rated videos from members of the IAC. A demonstration by Simon Harvey, lifting the lid on the world of software encoding and encoders. All this and recent news and club updates. Free tea/coffee.
August
Tues 16th August - Club social evening – Members are cordially invited for a meal (optional) with a drink at The Beams in Shenley Lodge. All members are welcome to bring a guest or partner.
September
Tues 20th September – “WORST VIDEO EVAH!!!” – Members are invited to bring along what they believe to be the worst (short) video they’ve ever seen. Members must also explain in less than 1 minute, the reasons why they think their chosen submission is worthy of the “WORST VIDEO EVAH!!!” award. Select segments will allowed from longer productions – Maximum of 10 minutes length for all entries. No member to knowingly submit another member’s production, past or present – but self-produced entries are acceptable. Practical, constructive and sympathetic discussion to follow, about how the directors/producers might have improved their videos. Free tea/coffee.
October
Tues 18th October - Club meeting - Discussions about ongoing projects. Meet at the Old Beams, Shenley Lodge.
November
Tues 15th November - Content to be advised. Free tea/coffee.
December
Tues 20th December - Club Christmas Evening – Meal at a local Milton Keynes Pub (TBA).
